Case study
Intellectual property management software
A portal built through public procurement for the University of Tartu to manage over 600 intellectual property assets.

Solution
We developed a comprehensive web portal that allows the University of Tartu to more easily manage its 600+ intellectual property assets such as patents, copyrights, trademarks, etc. The platform gives users a 360-degree view of assets, including expiry dates, deadlines, contracts, finances and automated notifications.
User access is via Microsoft authentication and role-based, but external users can be invited to the platform with limited view permissions and access to specific user-created web-based dashboards.
The database consists of over 20+ tables, the web server performs regular database backups and administrators can view logs directly from the portal. The platform complies with GDPR requirements.
Key features
Authentication
Microsoft SSO and role-based access.
Database
High-performance PostgreSQL with backups and audit logs.
Documents
File storage and access in AWS.
Notifications
Automated notifications for asset expiry and events.
